You know those stereotypical cranky bosses in TV sitcoms (or Lethal Weapon movies) that make life totally and utterly miserable for the poor saps that work for them? Get the picture? Well, Paul Fleming is the exact opposite of that.

See, as far as bosses go, Paul’s about as far from that stereotype as you can get. For one, he’s smart. He’s also a great listener, particularly when it comes to hearing what our clients are saying. Oh, and unlike those clods, Paul’s really, really nice. But really, what separates Paul from the Mr. Burns of the world is the fact that he truly cares about balance. Balance between home and office, work and fun. In fact, ever since Paul started the agency with Laurie Van Metre in 1987, his goal has been to build and maintain a family-friendly environment where one can do “smart, intelligent work with people you care about.” Ask anyone in the agency and they’ll tell you Paul’s succeeded in meeting that goal.

So how does Paul manage to run a successful agency, complete with happy clients and happy employees? Simple: he’s never content. A bonafide visionary, Paul is constantly thinking ahead, asking questions, then figuring out the answers. And just as the advertising industry continues to evolve, so does Paul. His ability to devise strategies for solving our clients’ problems of tomorrow—while simultaneously meeting their objectives of today—makes Paul, well, Paul. It’s also the reason people love working with (and for) him.

A graduate of Temple University, Paul has many interests outside of work. In addition to volunteer work and being active in his parish, Paul is a big fan of hanging out with family and friends at the Jersey shore, cooking, and fine wine. Of course, Paul’s biggest interests are his wife Judy and daughters Moira and Megan. It sounds like a lot but, then again, what else would you expect from a man of balance?
