Mike Forge is the Lou Ferrigno of ad copywriting. Pictures aren’t worth a thousand words in his world; words are worth a thousand pictures. His prose is persuasive, and his passion is evident in every job he touches. Just don’t get him angry. You wouldn’t like him when he’s angry. Writer’s block made that mistake once. Once. Mike turned green and tore up every page in his office. Then he walked home with his backpack over his shoulder – the sound of a sad piano playing as he went.
Mike earned his wings in the hard-nosed world of journalism. He soon grew weary of the Fourth Estate’s cynicism, commercialization, and competitiveness, though, and sought refuge in the more sanctified world of advertising – where dignity rains like manna from heaven on the darkest of dark parades. Over the last 15 years, Mike has written award-winning, world-peace-establishing copy for high-profile companies and associations, a computer game publisher, and the Washington Post. In his spare time, he watches The Simpsons and plays Xbox.
A Motown native, Mike now lives – along with his wife, son, and daughter – somewhere between Delaware and Tomorrow.
