What’s a 12-letter word for “to throw through a window?” Don’t worry; we don’t know either. But Jordy Pickel would. Jordy is that guy. You know the type: smart, ambitious, a masochist who doesn’t mind straining his brain to headache-inducing lengths. How else do you explain someone who does Sunday’s Times crossword…for fun?!?
Jordy first discovered crosswords in high school while studying for the SATs (“I found a soul mate that exists to this day”). He’s not joking about the soul mate thing, by the way. Jordy and his crosswords are inseparable (not that there’s anything wrong with that) and can be found daily in the FVM lunchroom where Jordy routinely impresses us all with his brilliance.
Course, we’re not the only ones impressed by Jordy. Just ask our clients about the work he does here: designing and building web sites, pay-per-click campaigns and search engine marketing. What’s more, he does this (and by “this” we mean “dealing with gobs and gobs of work”) while maintaining his sense of humor.
A graduate of Penn State University, Jordy lives in Manayunk with his 5-year-old chow-terrier mix Bailey. Rumor has it he’s teaching Bailey how to complete the Times’ crossword. The Sunday edition, of course.
