Meet Helen Smith. Helen runs our office in much the same way machines ran society in Kurt Vonnegut’s Player Piano. As Business Manager, Helen handles accounting, personnel, and business matters – or to put it more succinctly, she handles all the paperwork. Of course, she pretty much has to. She’s the one who orders all the paper. But it’s nice how it works out like that.
Helen describes her life outside work as busy. She likes fishing for stripers and absolutely adores hockey – whether it’s the Flyers, the Phantoms, or her son’s youth team. She also spends a fair amount of time rehabbing old houses. Actually, that’s an understatement. Helen’s spent so much time rehabbing old houses that she knows better than to wonder what walls would say if walls could talk. They can talk, she tells us. Spend a weekend painting. You don’t even want to know what they would say.
Helen joined Fleming & Van Metre in 2004. She currently lives in Chadds Ford PA, with her husband Don and son Michael.
